Robert Lee Howze (b. Aug. 22, 1864, Overton, Texas-d. Sept. 19, 1926, Columbus, Ohio), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1888 and participated in the Pine Ridge Campaign. In January 1891, he was with the 6th Cavalry in a battle with Sioux Indians; for this action he earned the Medal of Honor.
