Robert Lee Howze (b. Aug. 22, 1864, Overton, Texas-d. Sept. 19, 1926, Columbus, Ohio), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1888 and participated in the Pine Ridge Campaign. In January 1891, he was with the 6th Cavalry in a battle with Sioux Indians; for this action he earned the Medal of Honor. He served as Commandant of Cadets at West Point in the early 1900s, and with the 11th Cavalry during the Mexico Expedition in 1916. During World War I, General Howz...
